Matinal Redundancy of the Morning

According to the Washington Post, the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina “cast a funereal pall” over New Orleans.

(A pall is the dark cloth you drape over a coffin. A funereal coffin, that is. Not a baptismal or nuptial coffin.)
